  1. Looks like a pretty seamless way to extract the text of news documents. Looks very simple and pretty easy.
  2. Useful if you don't have the proprietary zoom thing installed. Unfortunately, doesne't make the WebRTC client suck less.
  3. A software suite that has become an Apache project. Used by Apache to create a series of metrics.
  4. Awesome replacement for Doodle.
  5. Distributed/federated video hosting platform. The individuals sites don't look very established yet but the software seems like a good idea. Better than just hosting static files though?
  6. I didn't really know Bob although we overlapped a little bit on the FSF board when he was a member (a weird role). This was a nice writeup of an important person in the history of free software.
