  3. Oh man, I really want to go to this...
  4. An educational evaluation of OLPC.
  5. Provocative piece on OLPC.
  6. Amazing OLPC banknotes! Super cool!
  7. I have heard tons about this project -- mostly from OLPC sources, I suppose. Nice to actually track it down.
  8. Wild.
  9. Things I didn't really expect to read: "Windows XP is masked by the Blue Dolphin user interface that is reminiscent of Linux and makes the system an ease to use."
  10. "I don’t think Negroponte appreciates how big the open source community was in the first year’s G1G1 program. I only know a few people (including myself) who have an OLPC, but we are all Linux geeks. Unfortunately the One Laptop Foundation now has the reputation of being turncoat to the community. There is still a lot of great activity, but now when it is mentioned on Slashdot there are a lot of comments about how disappointing the Windows move was. Perhaps unfair, but that’s how reputations work."
  11. Wow. So many of my friends.
  12. "In its noble mission to bring technology access to every child, One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) is planning a bizarre distribution tactic: XO-3 tablets will be airdropped into remote areas for kids to just pick up and start using, without instructions or people to guide them." - I don't believe that NN actually said this. But it would be pretty crazy if he did.
